Spencer Hart

Spencer Hart

Issue

Despite making some of Saville Row’s finest suits, Spencer Hart’s profile was far from prolific. As such, founder and Tailor Nick Hart came to W with a simple ask – make people appreciate his brand as much as his tailoring.

Idea

With a severely limited marketing budget, we decided to use Nick’s astounding suits as our currency; creating an army of highly influential advocates that would regularly take to much covered and coveted red carpets across the world.

Implementation

We knew that Britain’s movie and music industry was going through somewhat of a renaissance with the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Craig and Artic Monkey’s Alex Turner becoming some of the most celebrated faces on the silver screen.

We also knew they didn’t have a go-to tailor for the many awards and gala event they attended almost weekly – each time papped and photographed by some of the biggest publications in the world.

So, we set about to change this and subsequently orchestrated a global influencer strategy that would see us dress almost 100 named faces each year as well as creating an annual pop-up tailors in Hollywood for the Golden Globes.

Over the years, we dressed everyone from Robbie Williams to Daniel Radcliffe, David Gandy to P Diddy himself – quickly turning Spencer Hart into one of the most celebrated Saville Row exports for decades.
